Pepino’s may be an Italian restaurant, but don’t mistake it for a pizzeria. The Italian entrees and pasta dishes are what really shine at this hidden gem. Even many locals didn’t know it existed until the past year and a half, when delivery apps alerted them to its presence. They count it as a thin silver lining, given the quality of Pepino’s cuisine.
If you’ve never ordered from here before, there’s one dish you really shouldn’t miss: the chicken parm. The crispy chicken breast comes hot from the deep-fryer, at which point the chef smothers it with freshly made marinara and gooey mozzarella cheese. Prefer pasta? Try the penne carbonara tossed with pancetta, olive oil, and a medley of herbs and spices. If you’re craving seafood, the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp or the clams with red sauce will satisfy. Don’t forget to taste-test a few appetizers, too, such as the thin-sliced fried zucchini and the fresh bruschetta.
